Personal Financial Planning Series for PhDs and Postdocs - Introduction

Dec 04, 2020 12:00 PM - Dec 04, 2020 01:00 PM
Online by Zoom

This is the first in a series of financial planning webinars aimed specificially at PhD students and Postdocs.

The focus in this introductory webinar is on the financial planning process. A financial plan is a written document which lists your household financial priorities or goals and lays out the steps you must take over time to achieve them. You can formulate the plan yourself, in collaboration with a spouse or partner, or you can turn to a professional known as a “financial planner.”

Subsequent webinars in the series will delve into the various components of a financial plan, including, among others: debt management, budgeting, investing basics, retirement planning, insurance selection, asset accumulation, and contract negotiation.

This webinar series is offered through the Pillars of Wealth initiative, which aims to provide unbiased, science-based personal finance education.

Our focus is on education. We don't sell financial products.

Registration for this session will be enabled soon. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
