Our Services

We offer personal finance education products and services for individuals, organizations, and academic institutions.

Our services focus on objective education. We do not employ or collaborate with financial advisors, insurance agents, or brokers.

Our preference is to develop long-term relationships in which we deliver quality, unbiased education to your constituents.

Education for Individuals

Resources for individual learners include:

  1. The voluminious free content available in our e-Books and Links, Templates & Calculators
  2. Print and Audiobooks (available through Amazon.com)
  3. Online courses

Education for Employers

We work collaboratively with your human resources department or wellness program to design a personal finance education experience that works best for your organization, under your budget and scheduling constraints

We offer a range of learning options, including:

  1. Live (synchronous) or remote (Zoom) workshops, customized to your organization's needs
  2. The voluminious free content available in our e-Books and Links, Templates & Calculators
  3. Print and Audiobooks (available through Amazon.com). Discounts are available on bulk print book orders.
  4. Online courses (asynchronous)

Our content is modularized. You may select a pre-existing course consisting of several modules or you may select individual modules (a la carte). We're also happy to customize content for your population.

Many wellbeing programs have dedicated, hard-working staff who are already seeking to deliver financial literacy in the most cost-efficient fashion. We are delighted to collaborate. We don’t seek to displace internal sponsors or champions. We seek to make your lives easier by providing access to unbiased, professional, science-based content. Working with us is more cost-efficient than trying to re-invent the wheel and struggling to stay current on all content changes. It is also far better for your constituents' wellbeing to learn from us--an unbiased source--than from finance industry professionals who have an agenda to sell financial products.

Please contact us to discuss further, including an opportunity to examine our online courses or request a free introductory workshop (45-60 minutes).

Graduate Medical Programs

We work closely with members of your Graduate Medical Education (GME) office to help deliver customized education to positively impact the financial wellbeing of your medical residents and fellows.

We can work with you on a customized solution designed to meet your students' unique needs. These may include live (in-person or remote) synchronous education sessions.

In addition, or instead of, live sessions, which often pose scheduling challenges, we can arrange access for your students to one of our existing asynchronous online course(s). Courses could be used as electives within your educational framework, or as extracurricular offerings. There are currently two online courses:

  1. A five (5) hour video-based course
  2. A sixteen to twenty (16-20) hour academic course with learning objectives, readings, quizzes and exercises

Topics that tend to be of particular interest to medical trainees include:

  1. Formulate a financial plan
  2. Know your net worth - track assets and liabilities
  3. Manage student debt
  4. Accumulate assets
  5. Budget to live within your means - list and quantify income and household expenses
  6. Understand investing basics
  7. Plan for retirement
  8. Insure people and property
  9. Deal with financial advisors
  10. Review your employment contract

Undergraduate Medical Programs

We work closely with members of your Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) office or your faculty advisors to deliver the most important knowledge medical students need as they navigate medical school challenges and begin to think about the all-important transition to residency programs.

We're happy to deliver any of our content (please see Graduate Medical Programs content, for many examples), however, we find the UME audience is mostly in need of the following:

  1. Formulate a financial plan
  2. Recognize the insidious impact of advisor fees and debt on financial well-being
  3. Explain implications of deferment, forbearance, and capitalization of interest on student loans
  4. Recognize student loan consolidation and refinancing options
  5. Budget to live within your means - list and quantify income and household expenses
  6. Contrast appreciating and depreciating assets
  7. Assemble a rainy-day fund composed of cash and equivalent instruments
  8. Determine whether to obtain life, disability, and property & casualty insurance coverage, and how much to get
  9. Decide whether to buy or rent a home

We can arrange access for your students to one of our existing asynchronous online course(s). Courses could be used as electives within your educational framework, or as extracurricular offerings. There are currently two online courses:
